ON THE WAY TO MORE RESPONSIBLE TOURISM

On 13 January, the Domaine de Massereau campsite was awarded a prize in Stuttgart, Germany, for its ecological efforts and
for its ecological efforts and its avant-garde facilities!

A European award!
In 2010, the Camping du Domaine de Massereau is the first campsite to be awarded the
fifth star in France, thus attesting to the desire of the creators to be daring in their
projects!
For the past 6 years, the Domaine de Massereau campsite has been rated 5 stars ADAC Superplatz, a German
German classification calculated on 5 different areas of services.
After a few years of hard work, Gilles Rigole, the director of the campsite, is coming home with a new award: the home with a new award: first European campsite – Sustainable Development and
environmental awareness! A trophy that once again puts the family campsite on the
international stage!

An emotional moment!
Almost 10,000 European campsites are registered on PinCamp-ADAC, of which 5266
were inspected and selected in this category!
For the entire Domaine de Massereau team, happiness was at its peak when
Gilles Rigole took the stage to collect the award!

Some eco-responsible developments within the school:
In energy :
A Photovoltaic Park allowing us to be the first campsite in Europe to be autonomous in electrical energy.
Card readers to regulate the use of air conditioning/heating.
95% of our lighting is equipped with low consumption bulbs.
The electrical equipment is classified in economic category “A” or “A+”.
Short circuit purchases.
40 sockets for recharging electric vehicles.

Waste :
The campsite has a dedicated area for selective sorting.
The rental units are equipped with selective sorting bins.
Hazardous waste and used food oils are collected by specialised companies.

Water is a precious resource:
The sanitary blocks, the accommodation and the public water points are equipped with water saving devices.
We water our hedges, trees and flower beds with a drip irrigation system fed by untreated agricultural water.
Swimming shorts are not allowed in the swimming pools in order to limit the water outflow from the pools.
Our secondary roads and our campsite are made of draining material to facilitate the penetration of water into the soil; we use it for our watering system.
